A letter from the founder

My daughters haven't started yet. That's exactly why I built this.

This isn't a reaction page. It's a preparation page. I have two daughters, ages 8 and 10. Neither has started her period yet. I built The Official Dad Tribe because I refused to be the dad who wasn't ready when the moment came. If you're reading this, you're already doing the same thing.

The story

There was nothing built for us. So I built it.

A couple of years ago, I started doing the math. My oldest was eight. I'd Google things at midnight — the kind of questions a dad doesn't say out loud — and the internet would hand me back a pediatrician PDF from 2009 and a mom blog about flowers and butterflies.

There was nothing built for me. Not because dads don't care. Because nobody built it.

The conversation around puberty had been quietly handed off — to pediatricians, to moms, to school counselors who get six minutes and a worksheet. Dads got a nervous laugh, a pamphlet, and a closing door at one of the most important moments of their daughter's life.

I sat with that for a while. I talked to other dads — friends, brothers, strangers in coaching group chats. Same story every time. "I want to show up. I don't know how. And I'm not going to pretend I do."

My daughters are 8 and 10. Neither has started yet. I'm building this so I'm ready when they do — and so you are too.

That's the whole thing. Proactive, not reactive. Prepared, not panicked. The dad who's read the playbook before the moment is a different dad than the one figuring it out in a Target aisle at 9pm.

The Official Dad Tribe is the locker room I needed and couldn't find. So I'm opening the door for the next dad. That's it. That's the mission.

The partnership

I couldn't build this alone. I didn't.

Early on, I knew two things. One, I'm a dad — I'm not a pediatrician, and I'm not a period-product expert. Two, if this platform was going to be credible, it had to be built with someone who lives that expertise every single day.

That someone was Jen Eden, Owner of Tampon Tribe.

Jen had spent years building one of the most respected organic period care brands in the country — built around safer products, plain language, and zero shame. We met. We talked. Twenty minutes in, it was obvious: this had to be a partnership, not a sponsorship.

Jen isn't a vendor. She's the named co-creator of The Complete Dad's Playbook and the guest expert in Module 2. She vetted every line of copy that touches the female body. If it's in here, she signed off on it.

That's the thing that makes this credible. A dad with the why. A founder with the how. Built together.

The mission

To give every dad the tools, knowledge, and community to show up confidently for his daughter during one of the most important transitions of her life.

Not after it happens. Before.

Real talk only

Plain words. Practical answers. We don't dress it up and we don't talk down.

Dads first

Built for fathers. Not borrowed from a brand that sells to moms.

Proactive by design

Every tool is built to be in your hands before the moment, not after.

Co-brand

Dad Tribe × Tampon Tribe.

DT×Tampon Tribe

Tampon Tribe is an organic, women-founded period care company built on a simple idea: clean ingredients, clear language, no shame. They've been a trusted name for thousands of families navigating first periods.

Jen Eden, Owner of Tampon Tribe, built the brand she wished existed for her own daughters. The Official Dad Tribe is the natural extension — the same standard, brought to the dad's side of the room.

Tampon Tribe is the exclusive period product partner for The Official Dad Tribe. Every word about the female body in our curriculum is approved by Jen. That's not marketing — that's the deal we made on day one.
